Recently, the incoming U.S. President, Donald Trump, stated that if the United States and China cooperate, they could solve all of the world’s problems. He also mentioned that he has a very good relationship with Chinese President Xi Jinping, expressed a desire to work with China, and even spoke positively about TikTok. In response, I took screenshots of Chinese netizens’ comments under a report from China’s state-run media agency, Xinhua, and translated them using a translation tool.
Almost all of the comments reflect that people in China do not believe cooperation with the U.S. is necessary. Instead, they view America as China’s (the CCP’s) number one enemy, with a focus on defeating the U.S. in various ways. On Chinese social media, especially under posts from government-affiliated media (CCP-controlled), the comments that are visible to the public are carefully selected and screened. Any comment opposing the CCP’s views is deleted. Therefore, these comments not only represent individual opinions but also reflect the official stance of the Chinese government (the CCP).
Given this, no matter how President Trump chooses to handle U.S.-China relations in the future, I urge the American people not to believe reports or analyses from Chinese media or self-media outlets with ties to China. Relying on these sources will only expose Americans to CCP propaganda, which can not only harm their mental health but also pose a threat to their way of life. The CCP’s united front strategy isn’t just aimed at government leaders in democratic countries—it’s also targeted at the general public. They seek to create pro-CCP narratives in order to undermine the happiness and freedoms of people living in democratic societies.
At the same time, I hope U.S. politicians understand that the CCP is not a partner with whom they can cooperate. The CCP’s ultimate goal is clear: to export its totalitarian regime, expand its territorial control, and enslave more people. This is part of their founding ideology, which many people in the free world fail to grasp.
Of course, I sincerely hope that President Trump’s comments are aimed at lulling the CCP into a false sense of security, allowing the U.S. to position itself more strategically in future conflicts. If President Trump genuinely seeks cooperation with the CCP, it would place not only the U.S. but the entire world’s freedoms, democracy, and way of life in even greater danger.
